Pinwheel Tutoring
Since the spring of 2016, hundreds of volunteers have invested in the lives of Andrews elementary & middle school students, passing a major benchmark of 20,000 service hours last semester! People from at least 15 churches have tutored, given, prayed for & supported Pinwheel. We are united in our common goal of loving the next generation of our community!
Pinwheel builds relationships between mentoring volunteers, students and their families.
Pinwheel gives support to parents by relieving stress at home, to students by personal attention to their unique needs, and to the community by investing in the next generation & their families, striving to prevent or interrupt harmful mindsets and behaviors.
Pinwheel provides space to grow by providing a dedicated learning environment, loving relationships, and a positive support system for families.

Full-time tutors commit to one or two days a week for 10 weeks, from 3-5 p.m. Substitute tutors are on a contact list we use if a tutor is sick or has another emergency which causes them to miss. We need both types of tutors! We also need prayer sponsors- people who volunteer to pray for one student & their tutors each week of the Pinwheel semester.
Lastly, we welcome supplies donations- what we need can be viewed here on our Amazon Wishlist- you can order directly from the wishlist or you might see something you already have available to donate!
